EUREM uses the results of the first project and aims on four central objectives
Objective 1: Running training program EUREM in 13 EU-countries (additional: Tunisia) The introduction of the existing EUREM training concept in 9 new countries and the realisation of pilot courses including project works for specific energy efficiency measures. Together with the already running training programs in Germany, Austria, UK and Portugal a dissemination of 13 EU-countries will be reached, more than 50% of EU (84% of EU-population or 375 million people). Additional Tunisia will take part without EU-funding (self-financed).
Objective 2: Further development of EUREM training concept and materials The further development of the existing training concept EUREM and the country-specific fine-tuning of the existing training materials coming out of the SAVE-project EUREM (2003-2005).
Objective 3: National anchorage and Europe-wide certificate The nation-wide anchorage of the training EnergyManager in the new countries and the creation of an Europe-wide certification "European EnergyManager".
Objective 4 : Europe-wide knowledge and exchange network of EnergyManagers The development of an Europe-wide knowledge & exchange platform for EnergyManagers, incl. a data base of best-practise-energy projects.
The project was successfully negotiated with the IEEA (Intelligente Energy Executive Agency) and started with a Kick-Off-Meeting in 18th and 19th Dec. 2006. The duration of the project is 30 months.
